If you’ve been in the basement car park this afternoon you will most likely have noticed a significant amount of surface water.

Dylan has been busy trying to move it into the drains.

The cause is apparently due to the stormwater pump having been turned off which is interesting in itself. But rest assured it has nothing to do with the potential eastern garden beds project nor the recently completed northern garden beds projects.

For info: it appears the stormwater pump is designed to pump out the water that drains underneath the basement floor from the surface spoon drains that run around the walls of the carpark. That water is below the height of the stormwater pipes and thus a pump (turned on) is required to pump it up and into the stormwater pipes.
